The only thing that nags at me is that none seem to have that unf or punch. The redux seems to give more meaning and understanding to it, but I think it would have helped if there was a bit more in the picture (Maybe a background or just more exposure of the dead than what's seen).
Both pieces are nice and there's more anatomical understanding in the redux (Chest/waist/hands good god those hands) and the shading is astronomically different (The redux is like shade porn heaven to me and the less harsh lighting gives for a more subtle shade, not to mention that the dead are in the shadow while the mainly illuminated figure is the Virgin) and just overall sees how much you've improved.

I might take another tackle at this an add some more in the background of the newer one one of these days. Something to push it.
I liked the old one's head better as well as the monster hands, but the new one's proportions are way better!
I prefer 2009 even though the body is really exaggerated.
