Claustrophobia by AstroZerk Claustrophobia by AstroZerk
Just gonna accept that traditional art can never be scanned to look like what how it does irl.

YEAH traditional, haven't done it in a WHILE! Nor have I drawn this bastard in a while either.

I sketched and and posted this on my tumblr not too long ago. Pretty much the title has to do with Incisor's hatred for closed spaces. I also wanted to show the more flexible side of him...and I just realized I forgot his marking on his back...oh well.

Done with prisma markers, prisma colored pencils, microns, and tea dyed the paper.

To get a proper feel for this piece, since the anatomy is in such a unique pose, I went back to Incisors' reference sheet(s) to get a good feel of what you wanted to convey anatomically speaking. The only thing that I noticed that is a benefit for all your other work, but perhaps not for this character, is that you actually have the arms at the typical human scaling, which looks awesome in this, but I thought his arms were supposed to be leg length?
Only other thing is with the random spawning snakes, it might have been a good idea to add even just a hint of the upper part of the green snake, even just the end of its' tongue flicking out behind the right shoulder would work. As it currently is, I keep trying to scour the image to see where the snake is attached to Incisors' anatomy.

I understand completely how much fun traditional art is to put anywhere digitally, so I must say the coloring is amazing to even show up this much. All together I really like this piece and wonder why I didn't check it out sooner. :)

AHHH YOUR TRADITIONAL SKILLS ARE RADICALLLLLL.
Mixing markers and pencil is so fun and always has such a nice result. I love the tints of red in his skin and the strong white highlights. Also GOOD JOB on the foot-pressed-against-glass-effect. *_____* I hope I get to see you do more traditional stuff!

Thanks man! I'll try too, it's great to be able to take a break from drawing on the computer, to get your hands dirty with traditionals ^3^
